OUR STORY
The Bookhouse is the product of a life-long dream for sisters Tara and Meghan. Both are avid readers and are passionate about promoting literacy and a love of reading. While The Bookhouse is first and foremost a bookstore, their goal was to also create an environment that would bring the community together by creating a space in which people can come and relax, have a cup of coffee/glass of wine/beer, and discuss their favorite reads. While neither of them are from the Winston-Salem area, they both found their way to the area and quickly fell in love with the city. They are excited to be able to bring to life and share their dream with the community.
